Barcelona got the perfect result against La Liga strugglers Xerez ahead of Wednesday's crucial Champions League semi-final with Inter Milan.
Lionel Messi was rested with Wednesday's game in mind, although he was introduced in the second half to give Barcelona a boost.
The first goal came from the unlikely source of youngster Jeffren on the 14th minute. A terrific ball was played through the defense and Jeffren looked to have lost his footing as he tried to beat the defender. He got up sharply and kept control, finding himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper from a tight angle. He curled it into the top corner delighting the home faithful.
The second was scored by Thierry Henry, who tapped in a fantastic Ibrahimovic cut back on the 24th minute.
Xerez scored just a minute later courtesy of a fine finish from Bermejo who thumped the ball in the top corner.
Another precise pull back on the 56th minute led to another well-executed finish from Ibrahimovic, who rounded off a fine game.
Messi was lively during his time on the pitch and was on the receiving end of several bad challenges. However, he will be available for the game on Wednesday night that will decide Barcelona's Champions League fate.
